Two other bids said hail. These guys marked test squares, checked the gutter aprons and downspouts for dents, found nothing, and told me flat out I had granule loss from age and no claim. Then they quoted the repair I actually needed. Never had a contractor argue themselves out of a bigger job before.

Called in late October about a failing roof and expected the usual pressure. Instead they built a screwed-down plywood cover, explained why shingles laid in November would not seal until June, and booked me for summer. Held all winter through the snow. The reroof itself took two days and the yard was cleaner than when they arrived.

Our shop building has an exposed-fastener metal roof and screws kept backing out. They explained the panel moves a little every day and the holes were wearing oval, then replaced the screws with oversized ones and put a follow-up visit in the contract. Straight answer, no upsell to a whole new roof.

We rent the place out and are only up a few weekends a year. They photographed every slope, numbered the problem spots and emailed a report I could actually read from four hours away. The skylight I was sure was leaking turned out to be condensation on the glass. Fixed the bath fan instead and it stopped.
